Adoption Info
Our Adoption Process:
- Complete a pre-adoption application. There is no obligation to adopt when filling out this application. It is a tool we use to help us determine the pet best suited for your household and lifestyle.
- Meet with an Adoption Counselor to go over the application and discuss the animal you are considering. If you have other pets in the household, they would be introduced to the pet you are considering at this point to assess compatability.
- A vet check is done by our staff to confirm that all current and former pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. If you are renting, a landlord check is also required to confirm that pets are permitted and if there are any pet type/breed/size/weight restrictions.
- If everything looks like a great fit, the adoption is nearly complete! Our adoption counselors will schedule a home visit, at which time the adopted pet has the potential to stay with you if all goes well.
