Humane Society of Columbiana County

The Paws-R-Riding-On-It Poker FUNDrun will take place Saturday to benefit the Humane Society of Columbiana County. Entry fee is $15 per couple or $10 for single riders. Registration begins at 10 a.m. at the Steel Trolley Diner in Lisbon and ends with all bikes out at noon. Stops include the Stagecoach Inn in North Georgetown, BB Rooners in Salem and the Original Roadhouse in East Palestine with a return to Guilford Lake Grille in Lisbon. Featured will be guitarist Dave Morgan, boccie, a basket auction, event T-shirts, pull tabs and Best Poker Hand Draw. The event’s main sponsor is Carole’s Daycare of Wellsville. Dr. Boyce at Adamson Veterinary Services in Salem took xrays of Whitey’s lungs today. After looking them over, she said the there is a 50% chance that he has a very nasty fungal infection in his lungs. The other 50% chance is that he has primary lung cancer. We are treating for fungal infection and praying that he will improve with this treatment. He has a recheck set up for the end of the week. Please send positive thoughts his way.
