A lot of pet owners think that they cannot afford to get their pets spayed or neutered. But in reality, they cannot afford NOT to. Controlling the pet population by spaying and neutering your pets reduces the cost of animal control in your community (and therefore the cost to you, the taxpayer). And if your pet does reproduce, the cost of taking the puppies or kittens to the vet for first shots and deworming will easily cost more than the spay or neuter.
